Go to 'Control Panel' > 'Application' > 'DLNA Media Server' and check 'Enable DLNA Media Server'. Roku uses DLNA to retrieve media from the NAS, so the QNAP DLNA Media Server must be enabled. I've turned media streaming off and on again on my local network, I've reinstalled network drivers, I've rebuilt the search index (read that's could help), I've restarted a number of times. Your NAS must use QTS 4.2 (or later) firmware. It's been setup for 3 years without incident but suddenly it's gone. My roku smart tv is not detecting my Windows 10 media server I've set up.
